Calais's Dragon

On November 1, 2019, Calais discovered a new monumental machine, designed by the company La Machine and François Delaroziere. Coming from the sea, the Calais Dragon travels through the city, animated by 17 people who bring it to life. Accompanied by musical training, this legendary animal of extraordinary dimensions is the hero of a show designed over three days. Tamed by the inhabitants of Calais, the Dragon finally took up permanent residence in the city. Since that day, the Calais Dragon has been roaming the Calais seafront, carrying around fifty passengers on its back.
